Jim Laslett is a self-taught British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His musical style consists of folk, pop, rock, and some blues.

His 2003 debut album ‘Elysian Fields’ was well received.

Jim released his second successful album ‘Loving Should be Easy’ in 2005 and the NME Magazine said ”Speaking of rarities, there aren't many artists nowadays that own up to being in the same camp as Van Morrison and Neil Diamond. Credit Jim Laslett for his honesty, then. We suspect he's pretty talented too. See if Jim's tunesmithery can tickle your melody bone”.

His highly acclaimed album ‘Hey Lord’ was released in 2012 and his ever-popular Christmas single ‘Christmas Time’ is played a lot during Chrismastide.

Jim has donated the proceeds from his recently re-released song ‘No Tracks in my Mind’ to the NHS.

His latest must listen to single is ‘Run with Me’

Jim’s first album was released whilst playing at a Tower Records event in Dublin. He has also played live on various occasions at the Edinburgh Festival and as well as locations in the UK has also performed in France, Switzerland, Nashville whilst in USA and extensively in the Czech Republic.

As well as Simon and Garfunkel, other musicians who influenced him were The Beach Boys, Fleetwood Mac, Billy Joel, and Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens).
